Inquire Europe is a non for profit organization and is run on voluntary bases by the board and it’s committees. The Research and Program Committee are supported by an academic coordinator. We are saying farewell to Theo Nijman, who served as the organization’s Academic Coordinator for an impressive 25 years next to his role as Professor of Quantitative Finance at Tilburg University.
Marie Briere, Chair of Inquire Europe: “Theo’s role as Academic Coordinator was vital for the success of our organizations for a quarter century and involved overseeing the Research and Program Committees, where he actively managed research sponsorships, evaluated applications, and played a pivotal role in selecting seminar topics and papers and selecting and inviting keynote speakers. His impact is immeasurable, having reviewed over 2,500 research proposals and orchestrating the success of numerous seminar programs. Inquire Europe expresses its deepest gratitude to Theo Nijman for his exceptional dedication and contributions over the past 25 years. We do of course hope to see him at a future seminar and challenge the speakers on the content of their research”.
Theo Nijman: “Contributing to Inquire Europe has always been a great pleasure. I truly believe in the use of high quality up-to-date techniques to run investment portfolios and hope to have contributed to that. I trust that Inquire Europe will prosper in the years to come as it has done over its history more than 30 year history!”
