As part of its activities Inquire Europe organizes bi-annual seminars. The Autumn Seminar 2024 will be organized in Valencia from 6 – 8 October 2024. A major part of the seminar will be devoted to:
“Investing in Private Assets”
This seminar is motivated by the unique challenges and opportunities in private market assets (including real estate, private credit, and private equity). We welcome papers that address how to structure long-term portfolios and quantitatively assess risks in private asset, broadly defined. Potential topics of interest include but are not limited to liquidity premiums for illiquid assets, portfolio choice and illiquidity, performance evaluation, investment vehicles / fund structures, fees & incentives, ESG, interaction between private & public markets, and portfolio rebalancing & trading.
Authors, both academics and from the financial industry, are invited to submit papers for presentation at the seminar. Papers should have a quantitative background, with empirical testing of models, or other practical relevance and applications. We also encourage submissions of papers on subtopics in the broad area of institutional investing and asset management that do not fit the main topic for the seminar.
The audience of the Inquire seminar consists of financial professionals, mostly asset managers, all with experience in quantitative analysis of financial markets. A typical presentation will last around 30 minutes, followed by a 30-minute discussion with the audience. The Program Committee of Inquire Europe Papers will select papers for presentation.
Application Process & Deadline
We kindly request you to submit your paper online before 18 April 2023. The selection will be based on complete papers.
