The Institute for Quantitative Research Europe (Inquire Europe) provides financial support for academic research projects which have the potential to be applied in the field of investment management.
Inquire Europe particularly encourages early stage research, research on European issues and the use of European data and by researchers affiliated with European universities.
If you are a senior researcher or professor at a university, we stimulate you to share this call for papers with PhD students as we are also looking to provide financial support to young researchers.
Those interested in applying for the research grant must submit an outline of the project and a proposed time schedule. If a draft copy of the proposed paper exists, submit that version as well and indicate what further work is to be done. , and provide a proposed time-schedule. Papers are eligible for Inquire Europe funding only if substantial work on the project remains.
Papers that have been already presented at major academic conferences such as the American Finance Association, the European Finance Association or the Western Finance Association are not eligible for funding by Inquire Europe.
Multiple € 10.000 grants are awarded on an annual basis. Payments are made directly to the researcher, unless otherwise requested. Support of a research project by Inquire Europe does not in any way preclude subsequent publication of the paper in a journal of the researcher’s choice.
Completed papers may be invited to Inquire Europe’s spring or autumn seminar which gives you the opportunity to present and discuss your research with Inquire Europe members which include many decision-makers from the financial industry. If your paper is selected for a seminar, the institute will reimburse the researcher’s travel and lodging expenses for one author during the seminar.
