We are looking for proposals that are early stage, covering European issues, using data derived in Europe, conducted by researchers affiliated with European universities.
Inquire Europe provides financial support for academic research projects which have the potential to be applied in the field of investment management.
Those interested in applying for a research grant must submit a draft copy of the proposed paper, and indicate what further work is to be done, and provide a proposed time-schedule. Papers are eligible for Inquire Europe funding only if substantial work on the project remains.
Papers that have already been presented at major academic conferences, such as the American Finance Association, the European Finance Association or the Western Finance Association, are not eligible for funding by Inquire Europe.
Multiple € 10.000 grants are awarded on an annual basis. Payments are made directly to the researcher, unless otherwise requested. Support of a research project by Inquire Europe does not in any way preclude subsequent publication of the paper in a journal of the researcher’s choice.
Completed papers may be invited for presentation at Inquire Europe’s spring or autumn seminar. On that occasion, the institute will reimburse the researcher’s incurred expenses related to the seminar.
The next deadline for submission of research proposals is Wednesday, 1 February 2022. Proposals will be selected by the Inquire Europe Research Committee in Q1 2023.
